Gave the detector the day off and went looking for points. My lady has never gone before, but she has a good eye! The spot where she found the 2 basalt points was completely littered with basalt shards!
I found some descent little points, a few shell beads, a nice mano and a really strange incised stone. It's definitely not natural as the stone has no "layers". It's about the size of the palm of your hand. I've never seen anything like it. Sure would've liked to see the whole artifact, whatever it was.
