My wifes first find is a 1899 morgan dollar !!

I had kinda of twist today ussually the wife lets me loose to go MDing ,so decided to go to a old home site and went to walk out the door and she looked at me and said she wanted to go so I said ok lets head out ...So we got to the site and I showed here how to get started and before I new it she screamed out loud and told me to come quick I thought she had hit a power line or something but low and behold the big silver I couldnt beleive my eyes at the gleeming silver ,wipped it off and it was a 1899 morgan dollar ..Talk about luck !!!!

Now that's what you call beginner's luck. Some people (myself included) will go their whole life detecting and never find a Morgan or Peace dollar.

Wow, it took me over 20 years to find my first and only silver dollar! And I found it in Carp, Minnesota of all places, at an old abandoned school. My Mom's husband went hunting deer up there and I detected.
