Howdy Folks!
I keep a running total of clad in my signature file, along with dates and what I got for selling gold during the year.
What I don't do is to include silver coins, wheat pennies or other coins in my totals because it is simply not easy to put a value on those items because the value changes almost hourly. Actually, it's more like minutely.

Anyhow, here are the silver coins, wheat pennies and gold coins I found this year. Not everything I found in the past year is shown here, but enough to give you an idea. I also found a ton of silver jewelry, but it would be tough to try and isolate what I got this year from stuff from other years. Many of the coins you see here were taken at competition hunts, a few from club events, and some were found "in the wild". Quite a few wheat pennies were found on local tot lots! Who'da thunk it?

Two of the coins are gold, one a Panda from China, and the other a 2 1/2 peso from Mexico.
And yeah, these coins were all in the ground. Some still have dirt on them that I never cleaned off yet.

My totals for these coins was:
141 Silver Rosies
77 Silver Mercs
191 Wheat Pennies
11 Kennedys (40% silver)
9 War Nickels
13 Buffalo Nickels
4 Walking Liberty Halves
4 Morgan Silver Dollars
1 Eisenhower Dollar
1 Silver Round (1 oz pure silver)
1 Silver quarter
2 Standing Liberty quarters

Enjoy the photos. I think I did pretty good for a guy all gimped up!
Blessings,
M-Taliesin

Howdy Dwayne!
Only a small part of those coins was from club hunts.
Many more were taken at competition hunts.
I did the Indian Territory Hunt in Sapulpa Oklahoma.
A month earlier I did another in Sapulpa Oklahoma, the 3 Rivers Hunt.
And I hit one in Hastings Nebraska, the Nebraskaland hunt.
There are many I found on routine hunts, but those competition hunts are fun.
I enjoy them as a diversion, and always find more than the cost of my entry fees.
The best part is the fun and meeting other folks who enjoy this hobby!

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

Is there a link for competition hunts? Never heard of them. But then I'm a bit of a newb. What's your favorite kind of place to hunt?

Happy Holidays ! ;D
