Finds from hunts yesterday and today: 3 bale seals, 2 LCs, 9 flat buttons, silver quarter, partial key, whizzer, and an IHC. The bale seal with what appears to be a letter 'C' came from Clifton Park in Baltimore. Henry Thompson called his early 19th century homestead 'Clifton'. Might he have personalized his bale seals with the letter 'C'?

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very nice hunt, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks, Randy. The Friday hunt was on Maryland's Eastern Shore and it was very windy, even a snow flurry, but we were dressed for it and had a good hunt.

Thanks, washingtonian. That quarter came from about 8 inches down in the middle of a farm field. Although my first impression was Washington quarter, the depth had me guessing something older.

Thanks, Professor. One of our party on the Friday hunt recovered a CW general service button. Buttons were the most common find in the fields.
