They are metal bins to hold things-

The ram and other parts are to something else.

Looks like he was possibly using these as a metal scrap bin.

The yellow thing looks to be an arm or bucket attachment to a piece of machinery. Like a small backhoe or small material handler of some description. It looks like he had it in the scrap bin.
