🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Mystery Layered Rock

Hello! I found this interesting rock in Northern Illinois, the area has been built on but tends to get quite muddy and turn up a lot of rocks. The surrounding area sports a lot of wetlands/glacial runs offs. My SO suggested it as an Agate but I couldn't find an example quite similar. Any ideas?

It might be a type of concretion

What interesting to me is this link I attached is that I may have solved something I found and had never really figured out what it might be. What I found I believed to be a fossil of some kind, but seeing this image on this site, it might be a Cone-in-cone concretion that I found. I'll post a picture of what I found later when I go find it in the flower garden out front where I'm sure I put it. Right now it's still dark outside.

I can't find that rock I believe now is a cone in cone concreting. Anyway I was planning on cleaning that flower garden up and being the weekend temps might see a high of 80° probably a good time to do it. I'm positive that rock is in there under all the dead leaves and Virginia creepers vines somewhere

Try blue flame agate. 😉

I would call it a flint node unless it is more translucent than the image makes it look.
