I found this item in Luxembourg in Europe.
The area I found it in dates back to the 1600s but has everything in-between.
I have no idea what it could be but I figured I would post it here before putting it in the junk pile.

No idea really, looks like a bronze plug or slag bit from making something.

Bronze or brass carriage bolt[emoji23] hell I don’t know. I would be just as irritated, and stumped as you if I found something with such little detail to ID it.
