Nacho's Dig in SW Texas

Has anyone been to this site for this dig.\? Charges $200 for a table and brings the dirt to you. Website shows lots of finds. Has anyone been and if so what did you find and was it worth it?

man that really looks awesome....if I did it, I would go into it willing to throw away $200 for a fun day....not expecting anything but a fun day....and it might turn out great

Re: Nacho's Dig in SW Texas

That's what I thought. I live in Texas but by the time I went down there and paid for everything it would probably cost $500 or more. I could buy a lot of points for that. If you lived close and could go for the day it may be worth it. Looks like fun though.

I actually live in Indiana, but have a neice and nephew that live in Texas. They have been wanting us to come there and visit on a vacation....hmmmm....this may be an extra incentive to go!! If you do decide to go....please let me know how it goes!! Good luck! :icon_thumright:

I know a lot of folks that have been there and not come back with anything except dirty clothes...at one point it was the place to be for artifacts, but it has been pretty much dug out according to the people that I know...
5159, if you want a place to go that you have a fair chance to bring back some points, try Chrisner's ranch in Moody, Tx. it is listed on austin diggers site...only $40 for the day or $20 for six hours...has plenty of camps laid out and almost always come out with artifacts....best way to work that place, if you want to come out with artifacts, is to dig and screen...Have a friend that just screens the throw dirt and has always found nice points that others didn't see.

Thanks for the information pn Nachos

The site in Moody is closer to me and could be a day trip. They had a digfest in 10/2009 for $40 with BBQ and lots of door prizes. Think I may go down in the Spring and also try to make next years event.
