nasty hunt in RAIN and bad luck good luck

Had to go it just couldnt stand not going hunting so i got rain coat and cover on detector and hit the hunt.Just starting and got a solid signal a V Nickle my first did happy dance in rain thought thats not bad i will walk in rain for a V . Set out looking for another after a while got another signal and dug a coin wasnt sure what it was so i went to pull the V out and compare it was GONE i feel sick dont know what happened to it must have slipped out i went back and researched are no luck so i put the other coin in my pocket and kept checking to make sure it was there then a found a 1919 wheat .After a little claen up the 2nd coin is a 1866 2 cent coin another first for me but wish i also had the V
