Hello Chicago Ron,
Thank you for posting your Thames River adventure, it was truly fascinating to watch. I've been out of coin shooting for several years but I still appreciate what can be found in and around a city and 'the groups finds' from the banks of the Thames really show the array of what is out there. For the past ten years or so I've mostly been enjoying prospecting the outdoors in the Sierra Nevada mountain range out of Sacramento. I've found a passion for being in the wilds and I never tire of it. I've attached a couple of pictures, one of my camp in an especially lovely wilderness area and one of the gold I found in 2010.

Thank you for sharing your adventure........63bkpkr

Hey Ron! Thanks for posting this. I missed it when it originally aired and had wanted to see it. THIS is how a metal detecting show should be done. Excellent production value AND good message!

Very cool! I really enjoyed it. I like how he explains the "treasure hunting addition almost like a gambling addiction"

I agree however it cannot be done like this here.

archies will not sit down with detectorists here & discuss the history,
without laying it on heavy that the items have been taken out of Context,
and are no longer of historical value to them, & Must now be thrown in a Box in their Cellar. :(
