natchez ms new places to detect. anyone wanna team up and go somewhere?

You live in the area that is known as the oldest settlement on the Mississippi. Detecting along the flood plain should be excellent. I assume the Army Corps of Engineering owns a lot of property there. Check the Army Corps website or visit there local office. They may allow metal detecting on much of the property. H Digs :)

Check the Army Corps of Engineers website for your area. They should have maps and parking access.

Along through the woods you will find trees with a single white paint line circling said tree. These are set as the elevations for the flood plans.

Y'all wanna go? I sold my at pro like a fool a few months back. I just got a ace 350 and waiting my the whites dfx to get back to the local dealer so I can get it its got my name on it. Haha. But I will travel to detect with some people its always more exciting to have someone to go with!!

I'm right up hwy 84 in Brookhaven, let me know if you would like to get a hunt up.

Hey. Hope you'll had great day out yesterday. I found some areas on old map of 1922 quadrangle that may provide some leads for future hunts. There are pics these locations from the old map and the current satelite views. The sat views have road names and/ or numbers for reference. Good luck. Of course, you will need to obtain permissions from property owners.

Alright thanks. Any suggestions on gaining permission?

The location below carthage point looks secluded. The planters point aka anna rd seems to have residency on the east point access rd. The other two locations have a few residents in their vicinity for some report of owners to contact. If that may help. The farm land up on the north end of natchez has the highest probability. Good luck.
