I found this enameled badge about 10” deep in the yard of an 1890 built home. It is made of heavy thick brass. In doing research on the National Automobile Service Corporation a couple of similar badges come up on the internet but no real information. It is also marked “Detroit” at the bottom with the others on line being New Jersey and Massachusetts. Does anyone know what this organization did? And when this badge would be dated? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

They seem to have been granted a trademark application for the use of that name as a supplier of gasoline, kerosene, lubricating oils and greases on 22nd December 1926:
