This is being offered at a auction this afternoon.
It is described as a Native American plow.
What should I look for to determine if it is indeed what they say it is?
Also what would be a reasonable bid were it to be the real thing?
Thanks for any help offered.

it does kind of looks like it is grooved? The tag is kind of in the way. someone will be around to give you some information.

I wouldn't bid a dime on it.... If it was a plow where is the wear (polish).....

Just an oddly shaped rock. Not a Plow or even an artifact of any kind. Like said above, if it had been used as a Plow it would have heavy use polish on it.

Here are some pics of what the Indians used to dig with or plant crops. These are Hoes and show the polish that one would expect from being used to dig in the earth.

Note it does say 'BELIEVED' to be, not that it is. Interesting rock, but I wouldn't invest in it. And I just have to ask, did they give any info on what may have pulled the plow?

I'm suprised that they didn't recognize a NA stone teepee weathervane when they see one. :dontknow:

It's a goofy looking rock if anything
