Native Leatherman?

Hey all, thought I'd share this with you. A friend of mine lent me this piece to try and figure out what it's used for. When he handed it to me my first thought was multi-tool. One side has a fairly fine edge, the other a serated one, and on what I'm calling the top edge a nice round(convex) cutting surface(third pic). I haven't had a chance to put it under the scope yet, and really don't know what I'm looking for if I do. If you have any ideas let me know( about it's uses or what to look for under scope?).
The Stripers are starting to show up here (and the summer folks ) so I am going to start to have a hard time chosing between fishing and headin'. Most of the places I look the summer folk don't like people lurking around (I feel ya trev). The "island" I live on (Chappaquidick) is now officialy an island again. The last storm we had cut us off from the Vineyard. If you got the time and are interested check out this vid, it's an ariel shot of the break through.
