Hello, Did an hours worth of dump digging last night and found this neat eagle button :icon_thumright: Alot of the similar ones I looked up, have the loop at the end of the anchor close to the rim and this one does not. The Eagle looks better too on this one. Any thoughts would be appreciated :help: Thank you :icon_sunny: Paul :coffee2:

May I?? Thank you. I have personal experience with this button. Short story: The wing tops are not rounded enough, real buttons never had iron backs, the chain does not go through the anchor eye. I hope that covers it, but the real experts will correct anything I have wrong. I was told that I one I found is modern and not military, and could be found in JoAnn's. Didn't believe it, so I went down, elbowed my way through the knitters, quilters, and little grey haired ladies, and sure as shooting, there was a card of two for a buck odd change. Much prettier when not dug. The company has been in business for 125 years and there has been numerous design changes over the years. I think mine only had 11 stars. The good news is, you have found this one so you can find a real eagle I buttion, or a Virginia State Seal button just as easily. There has been a rash of these in the last 3 weeks or so. Are they in season or something?

Yea, I was about a foot off the ground for about a week. Know what you mean, except I DON'T have and eagle I button. It's all fun.
