Navy Button, Silver War Nickel & Some Wheaties
I hit a nearby homesite today. The house shows on Aerial Photos from the 1990's, but there is nothing remaining. I had found an 1898 Barber Dime & a 1911 cent last year at the site, but today I had no such luck. These coins all came out of the same hole, with the exception of one Memorial cent. I can now scratch the "silver" war nickel off my MD wish list. I also found the little doll dish.
The Navy button was found nearby the others. Is it a WWII era button? The wreath is similar to the wreath on the Indian Heads. Any experts out there?
It looks like it is going to be a bad year for ticks!
