I would normally be outside doing landscaping but it just won't stop raining here. These storms are really putting a damper on my outdoor work/activities. Here's a few better quality examples from my NC Arrowhead Collection, mainly the northwestern Piedmont. There is 14 from this selection I found personally, including the tomahawk club head. You will see types such as, Dalton, Kirk, Guilford, Morrow Mtn., Stanley, Savannah, Wills Cove, and Adena. Also, some of the materials displayed are: sugar quartz (Guilford), white quartz, clear quartz, quartzite, jasper, & variously composed rhyolites. The Milky Quartz Dalton has a pinkish base and it is from Granville Co., NC. You may notice in that frame also that some of the other quartz has some pink colorations. There's arrowheads here from Yadkin, Surry, Stokes, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Alexander and Edgecombe Counties to name a few more. The tomahawk stone club was found along the Yadkin River bottoms. I simply cut a piece of popular wood to make the handle and fastened it with rubber bands, temporarily until I think of something better. I've been working on a few more different style stone clubs with soft maple wood handles in my spare time. It'll be at least a month before I can make a finished product. If they look halfway decent I may post some pictures in the future. If anyone wants to know about one in particular, I will be glad to share some info I know about it. Thanks for your views!

Thank you. Here is a few more close ups. I thought I had more pictures taken but I guess not. I change these frames around frequently. I have some recently found stuff, I'm thinking about framing sometime too.

I hunt a field or two in Granville. Those are nice pieces posted. That's more like the t-net style. I'm sure your like me, still picking those natural or (so called in my eye) stones up, thinking "why not just use this?". Nice post bro. Don't stop trying to learn the impossible, just find the right people to consult with!

Oh yea. The materials I have found so far don't turn up often. It has taken at least 15 years of hunting. As you know, I will collect a few naturals until I get to that prize. I believe that some actually ended up finding me. I try studying the material to speculate the reason it is why it is there and why is it composed like it is. All connected to the overall geological story. When I hunt for artifacts I tend to try various techniques; for example, searching outcrops, naturally eroded deposit zones, digging along creeks/rivers, sand bars, and plowed fields.
