Howdy all,
Met up this mornin with Detectingfreak and my other buddy Tim. We got permission for a great older home owned by a local church. The church folks had no info on the house, and we are sure it was moved there at some time. Nothing old came from a 2 hour hunt around the house. Plenty of clad but not even a wheat showed up. So we headed up the road to the field that we have been working on the last few hunts. No coins popped out this time but I did get this unique little buckle piece. Not sure if it came from a piece of horse tack, or someones suspenders or what. I would really like to hear from you guys on this one. No matter what its gonna look great in my next shadow box. Thanks for lookin, and luck in the hunt.

It turns out this buckle is from ww1. It is from a gas mask pouch. It was identified in the "What is it forum"

nice little buckle piece nate! :) I really enjoyed hunting with ya today, even though we did not get any good keepers.

It's one half of an army pistol belt.
