It permission lAst night from a farmer to detect his property. Went out this morning after a good rain. It was wet muddy and cold. I am having a hard time pinpointing exactly where the two old houses were located that historic Ariel's labeled on there map. I found some brick some glass and I found this....
Pretty neat dono how old it is, or exactly what it is for that natter

That's cool looking! It's hard to tell size or type of metal from your photo though......maybe a dime store kid's ring? Cigar band?

I need to take a picture to compare it. It's about the size of the palm of my hand and is pretty thick... It looks like it is supposed to be flat. Prolly got ran over wit the disk.

Box plate? Cool whatever it is!
 
I like the box plate idea better than mine. Looks like something was attached to the ears at one time but I would think an older belt buckle would have a solid back and thicker body.
Nice find whatever it's for.
 
Maybe part of an old bracelet or some kind of wristband ?????
