This came out of my gravel driveway.
The chain has a circular “charm” that says Italy, and appears to have 1(?)KT on it. I can’t make out if it’s 10, 14, etc.
I was amazed it didn’t break. It is quite fine. The pendant has a grid pattern. It appears that a back cover is missing. There is a ferrous inner plate, evidently to give the piece some weight. The charm has what appears to be a maker’s mark on the other side. So far, I cannot get a decent photo of it. Any input appreciated.

I see 18K, I also see a greenish color on the clasp. Is that dirt or actual corrosion? Look at it under a good loupe, a lot of times gold chains marked "Italy" are just heavy gold plate. However, based on the pics, that chain looks like the real deal.

Well there are a few things going on with your piece...
One... the pendent is not part of the necklace so it will be of a different composition...
Two... the clasp may have been replaced so it may not be one with necklace...
Three ... necklace looks in good shape... you should clean with dish soap and water and repost clear close up photos.

Also ... post clear pics of both sides of clasp... especially if marked.
