Five and a half inches tall. Brass shaker top that turns to open/close. Side seams only go to shoulder. Has a "window" where the paper label was. Number 1225 on the bottom. Have thoughts of it being talcum or baby powder.

I think you are probably right about the talcum powder. At first glance I thought salt shaker, but it seems too large to be that.
 

Yep, it's a shaker, not sure about the contents though. The seam might not go to the top, but I do believe that this is machine-made, 1910-1925.
