Need bottle ID (Sorry no pic yet)

Found a bottle in an old house this weekend. It's clear glass and on the bottom is says
PJ Ritter Company, Philadelphia. I tried to search for the company but found nothing. All you bottle experts, I need your help.

Yep, that's it River Rat, thanks a lot. It's interesting, the house I found it in is early 1800s, and in doing some research of the deeds, I don't think anyone was living in it in the 40s or 50s. I could be wrong though.
