found this brick and a few others in a creek in western pa. It is light and feels ceramic. Anyone know when they were made. I wanna climb the hill and find where they came from.
I was doing some research on the Livermore fire brick Company from California, in 1914 they started experimenting making brick from Diatomaceous earth, brick was standard size but weighed one-fifth of the weight. I believe they were used for lining refrigerators in meat shops, breweries etc... replacing scarcer to find cork
