Need help determining what these things are? (Foreign medailion & Maybe a coin)

I was out today and found two things I cannot identify.
I figure someone on here may speak or recognize these languages.
If you can help, please let me know.

Appears to be Cyrillic letters, so my best guess would be Russia, or somewhere very near. Not sure but I think Bulgaria might have used the Cyrillic alphabet for a while.

I can see my picture quality is poor but I did find a Czech coin last week.
I was thinking a church medallion of some type but not certain why.

I just found out that the smallest picture is of:
The Lion and Sun, or Shir-o-khorshid, one of the better-known emblems of Iran. Between 1310 and 1332 Iran issued several different denominations of dinar coins made out of bronze and aluminum bronze. Don't be fooled by the date, these are modern coins.

Maybe a vet brought it back?
 

FYI - Coin date converted to 1972.
