Found this pendant a couple of days ago. Its say USS Annapolis PNS 1941 and the back it has what appears to say Gold Gram Phila. Anyone ever come across one of these?

I believe the pin was owned by a cadet on the schoolship Annapolis at the Pennsylvania Nautical School (PNS) which vessel was replaced in 1941. The pin may represent a commemorative of that vessel's decommissioning ceremony or commemorating the graduation of the cadet from that schoolship.
Don..

Thanks Don! Still wondering if its gold... The back is imprinted with what looks to be Gold Gram Phila

Lmao, yeah it's a only a brown snake. A few months ago i had this one pop out on me and almost bit my dog. I took care of him and cleaned it for a friend who had it for dinner...

Glad your dogs are OK.
So is that a bullet hole I see in its side prior to the beheading? And second, what is that structure in your bottom photo?

Its an old structure with an old water tank inside

God that looks like a dry hot place to detect. Cool finds though. If that gold peice has any green stuff on it then it might be gold plated.
