Need help identifying a metal bow

My brother found this while hunting on a Western PA farm near where George Washington actually owned a cabin. It is very heavy, and not silver (he checked). It does not stick to a magnet. The front and back look similar, although the back has a little place in the middle where something was attached (maybe for a button/buckle?). Any thoughts?

Looks sterling from the pics. I dug one very similar several years ago but it was marked sterling. I appeared to have had a pin as if to pin to ladies dress etc. Might want to check it again for being silver but it is hard to tell in a pic. Neat find anyway.
