Need help identifying- pyrite, schist or gold flakes?

How can you tell? The shiny is not magnetic and it’s not square in shape. However, it is shiny- but not super shiny in comparison to other quartz rocks I have. Can you guys help please? Thanks !

Crush it and pan it. Mica flakes will be very light. Pyrite will crush. Gold will flatten. You can take a small set of pliers and pinch off a piece of the rock to test it.
