Need help identifying this rock that washed up on the beach

Need help identifying this rock that washed up on the beach the near Sea Girt, NJ

I never found a rock like this one and would appreciate your help identifying it.

The rock measures approximately 2 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide and 1 5/8" high

It is also much lighter then most rocks this size

Any help would be appreciated

Hey Frank! You an R.T. as well? i think you got some coal in your stocking lol. They would use this to power the old steam ships and they would bring barges of coal to power plants along the coast. It should cause a metal detector to false slightly when you pass it under the coil. It looks a little more rounded than when it was first mined by being rolled around in the surf.
