Need help identifying

I need help trying to identify this dark gray colored mineral. It was found in the Goodsprings Mining District south of Las Vegas, NV. Granite dike intrustions to adjacent limestone / dolostone beds.

I have a piece of almost pure hematite of similar size and the rock in question feels considerably heavier. I am assuming it is of a higher density.

Mohes hardness between 3-4. Metallic luster on fresh face, dull metallic luster on weathered side of rock.

Non-magnetic

Dark Gray Streak against concrete

can you take a close-up in natural light? Can't see any kind of crystal structure and the flash from your camera is masking several other details primarily luster
