I found this in a field. It measures 1 inch across.
The back says Treble Stand Extra Rich.

It's a mid 19th century sporting button depicting a female dog and her pups. "Treble Stand. Extra Rich" is what's called a quality backmark and refers to the button's gilt finish. As I recall, this button has been attributed as English in origin.
