I wish I could tell ya what it is specifically, but I can say it's a very fine bit of treasure! It's the sort of find that bring so much of what makes our hobby interesting together at once: the value of the silver, the sense of history, and a little mystery to solve. Congrats to ya on this mate! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Very Well put Javadroid. Good enough for Me:) TY

It looks like an ancient Roman coin to me, but I have ZERO expertise in that arena (pun intended). There appears to be a figure holding a spear on the left side of the coin. Here's a pic of a random one I found the inter-webnet: Roman Coin Example.webp

I'm sure there are some experts on this site (such as CRUSADER) who would know for sure. Perhaps they'll chime in. Either way, that's an awesome find!

Hi, awesome find. Congrats:icon_thumleft:

Nice hunt and finds. :icon_thumleft: I wonder if the coin is Roman? :dontknow:

No help but very cool, congrats & HH

My first thought like some of the others posting is that the mystery item is an ancient bronze coin in a sterling bezel. It's possible that TNet member CRUSADER will be by once he has slept off the grog and will be able to point you in the right direction.

I hope so I find a foroegn coin they look like ancient coins to me it would seem to be a great coin if someone went to the trouble of making a ring out of it ill keep my fingers crossed
Well done.my friend. Tommy

I think you have a genuine ancient bronze coin set in a sterling ( .925) pendant setting . Nice

In response to your PM.

I can't ID the 'coin' which looks like a 'copy' of an ancient Greek one. (personally I don't think its authentic)

I know 100% it's NOT a Roman Coin.

Thanks Crusader :)
