Need Help to ID a ring

Found this ring at a 1940-1960s site, along with a few other things I'll post tomorrow after I clean them. It is silver, small, like a child's ring, size of a dime, and is also inscribed Sterling, Kiddie Gem. Also has a a gem on it which looks like a replica of a diamond, probably a birthstone. Maybe it is a newborns commerative ring. Anyway, I hope to date it if I can learn more about it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
