Need help to id sterling ring.

Hey guys. My buddy found this ring last Sunday and asked me to help in identification. He cleaned the markings inside and send the pictures. The weight is 7.5 gram. The top plate is missing and probably it is still in the hole waiting for us . Will see this or next weekend. My opinion it is the native ring with the buffalo scull and the letter in the circle is P or D or even B. Hard to see cause it is worn down much. Would appreciate any ideas and opinions on that matter. It is downtown Toronto find. Thanks in advance.

Mexican biker rings frequently have a bronze piece welded to the top of them. These rings are usually more ornate than yours though... so I am reluctant to say that I have ID'd this ring.
