I posted this already on today's finds but I figured I'd repost here and see if anyone can tell me anything about these finds. I don't know anything about old jewelry so any info is appreciated. Dug both items in the same field which dates back to at least the early 1800s. Both were about 6 inches down. The ring appears to be brass with a red stone. I see a mark under neath but can't make it out very good. The tag is stamped with 1 4 on top, langly in the middle and a large F at the bottom. Any info is appreciated, thanks for looking. HH
