Need help with dating bit

I found this bit on Saturday in the same area I have been finding other items from around 1800 or so. Now I am not a horsey person and don't know anything about them or tack. In looking it up on the internet it appears to be what is called a Pelham, Mullen Mouthed bit. Does anyone have any idea of the age. Thanks...Lance
