It looks like it could be a lens from a daguerreotype camera but those were typically made out of brass. Can you tell what the metal is and also post measurements?

The glass is Concave. As soon as I can find a ruler I will post the dimensions.

I think it's to big for a microscope. The dimensions are 3.5 long by 2.5 wide. And I'm pretty sure it's brass or copper.
