Need help with Maker's Mark - age?

I'm having trouble finding who the maker's mark belongs to. If anyone could help, THANKS! I'm trying to find out the age and if this is a Ruby. Thoughts?
I know the picture isn't the best. It's hard to capture but it looks like an elongated O...it's not a C.
 

925 percent silver you can google makers marks a little research required

The stone could also be red garnet.

I have to agree with Steve. :thumbsup:
I'm thinking this is a birthstone ring and the 'red stone' is actually a garnet.
This is due to the fact that the setting is silver as opposed to gold.
Based on the the way the ring is constructed, I'm thinking Mexican silver, possibly a tourist purchase. :icon_scratch:
