✅ SOLVED Need Help

[time machine]

I found this brass thing and when I was cleaning it with a air hose out pops a wick. On
it I just can make out the companies name " Mcnab and Harlin". I hope someone can shed
some light on it.

Not sure what it is or where it's from, but seems like the company was active from the 1870s to 1920s or so.

found it, i was actually able to locate their catalog.
oil cup hence the cordage.

That's it! wow that was quick. I assume they must have used them on industrial
