I picked this one up listed as Sea Salvage the other day for just under $12.00, it was shipped from Texas.
The listing didn't have the denomination, and I was initially thinking it was a 1/2R.
After weighing it at 2.8 grams, I believe it has to be a 1R. Guess I should have known it wasn't a half, as the 1/2's monograms are different. Still learning.
I'm pretty sure the front is the Jerusalem cross for the Mexico City Mint.
Its not in the best shape, but it seemed to be a decent price.
I was wondering if anyone could put a date range on it by looking at the back..
The dimensions are 18mm x 14.9mm x 1.7mm at its widest points
Oh, and if I don't have my pics right, I can edit/rotate, just let me know.
Please Advise.
Thanks

1R is correct, though it's not 'the cross of Jerusalem' cross which would have perpendicular bars at the ends, not globes or spheres as yours has. As such, it can only be Mexican--as you stated.
Don..

It*s the single bow curved bar that gives the date range away on this mint.

Thanks for responding guys.
I also saw that mark, and it reminded me of the King Charles II half real monogram.
I was thinking that it could indicate that the cob in question is King Charles II, but I wanted to wait and see what people with more experience thought.

Don, have you seen that mark on other cobs.?
It reminds me of the fish you see on the religious bumper stickers.
Thanks again.

Bonepicker,
Actually, it could be earlier than charles II...
looking at the crown closer, it very well may be OMP - philip IV
I'm slipping, lol
Now that your no closer to the info you seek.
