I was hunting a stretch of shoreline yesterday where shards of early-to-mid 1600s pottery has been found. This was the only metallic object I was able to locate. It may be just a piece of modern trash, but it could also be something early as it looks familiar for some reason. I think its made from thin brass. Appreciate any ID help.
