need info! minelab X-terra 30

[beginner]

i have a minelab x-terra 30 and im new to the detecting bussiness and im looking for info on how to get better at using my machine. im currently finding alot of trash and having alot of trouble on distinguishing goodies from garbage. i have the stock coil as well. should i upgrade my coil? i have no clue on the difference betwen the coils too. like i said im a beginner to this stuff and any info would be greatly appreciated.
