I run the nel thunder . Hits hard and weighs about the same as a stock coil. Have to swing slow in a trashy area

You can't go wrong with any Nel coil IMO. I have the Nel storm and love it. It is slightly more heavy but I didn't notice a big difference swinging it vs the stock coil. It has pretty good seperation and generally goes a couple inches deeper than stock coil. I only use 5x8 coil and storm I have not used my stock coil once since I tried the other 2 coils.

Nel Attack 15" coil, heavy coil but you can cover lot of ground. I have seen videos that claim to reach depths of 14 inches said they were targeting dimes that deep, I'd have to see it in action.

Thank you all !

Nel storm is next size down and Big Nel next size up at 17". I have both of these coils, they are heavy. But they are very accurate, deep and reliable.

Happy hunting

I am using the NEL Thunder Clone, the Cors Cannon, on my 400. It's only 10 inches wide, but 14 inches long. Doesn't weigh that much more and I get good coverage and depth. 3 seated dimes in three months and an 1810 large cent to show for it since December. Also managed to find a silver Washington quarter in a field that had been pounded for a couple of years. Deepest coin so far was a wheat penny at 9 inches. The Pro version should go deeper.
