need some help, please.

Hey there. I found a state quarter (Alaska to be exact) and it looks normal and all, but when I saw its rim, its a solid silver color. Just like pre 64 quarters. But it sounds like clad.

Any help would be helpful,

It's clad. It's either a case of the edge just having harder to see separation, or it has been plated.

If you have a decent metal detector, compare it with a known clad and silver quarter by running them under the loop. You should be able to tell clad from silver doing that.

What is the mint mark? If it's an "S", it may be silver. Any other mint mark is clad for sure.
