Need some help with I.D.

I'M NEW HERE SO BE A LITTLE PATIENT, I FOUND THIS STONE IN N.W. OHIO IN A RIVER BOTTOM FIELD . I'TS COMPLETELY FLAT ON THE BOTTOM AND THE HOLE HAS A ROUNDED OR CUP-SHAPED BOTTOM.IF ANYONE HAS A CLUE AS TO WHAT THIS IS I WOULD SURELY APPRECIATE IT

THE HOLE IS ABOUT 1/2 '' DEEP AND 1AND1/4'' ACROSS

Looks like an unfinished bannerstone. (?) Best if some of your fellow N. Midwesterners chime in on this one. The hole looks like it was being done with a hollow peice of cain with grit at the bottem. Around here, thats how a LOT of the stone was drilled.
