Just got my Gold Bug 2 today been out playing in my back yard this thing is sensitive.
Anyway the thing I wanted to know I got a little box with it that the earphones hook up to and then that plugs into the control box, it has a toggle switch?
and in bold letters (GOLD RUSH) depth master.
I've been using the GB without it til I findout what it is.

TIA

It is a volume enhancer or amplifer. It increases the volume to better hear faint signals. Usually has a 9volt battery. How well it works depends on the user preferences.

just found it on the net

Depthmaster > Gold Rush Audio System

A patented battery powered audio processing electronic circuit lets you find the tiniest gold nuggets and flakes, while protecting your hearing from loud blasts. For use with all brands of gold prospecting detectors.
