Knowing nothing about these.

Can you explain why its best searching in Creeks? Is it because they are all over the place but easy to spot in the water, or because they hunted game at the waters edge. Or other reasons??

In my area, the ground is rock hard-No digging. We/I use erosion to dig. People tended to live near water way back before municipal supply. Or the white man for that matter.
