Nevad Bob's Metal Detector Mods

I have read some references to Nevada Bob's mods to a Gold Bug 2. Does anybody know anything about these? Had them done? Do they work? Are they costly? How does one get in touch with him? Seems like they would void the warranty. Anyway, I am just curious to learn more about them. Thanks.

I have a Nevada Bob's Gold Bug 2 which is modified with the Noise Reduction Circuit. I have never had the time to get out and use it in the field and learn techniques or listen to the instruction tapes that the inventor Gary Hudson sent with the unit. I am looking for a back-up Gold Bug 2 (unmodified) for a spring hunt in Nevada and then later in the summer up in Alaska right now, so if anybody would like to have an example of the legendary Nevada Bob's Gold Bug 2, I would be like to trade the new (unused) modified GB2 unit and the instructional materials and pictures hand signed by Gary Hudson for a new or barely used GB2. You could get proficient with this thing and then report back to us.
