I watched with interest as they razed a century old house and lot once belonging to a fairly wealthy family. I'd already searched the very small front yard and found a shallow merc but thought that a dozer wouldn't hurt. I think a lot of stuff in front was covered deep when they put in gas lines. But I really wanted was in the spacious back yard that was overgrown with honeysuckle vines and poison oak.
Horrors! the house behind it was a virtual trash dump and they pushed all that crap over the otherwise "clean" lot I badly wanted to explore.
Now there is a new bank office on top. Never fails!
