Woman and I went to an estate sale this last weekend.

Sitting around last night and I pick up one of the book
and..............

Never know what you'll find. Last two times I puchased
used books I was rewarded with a bit extra. $1 silver
certificate from 1935 last time, this time the stamps.

No real collector value on the stamps, our post office has
been pushing out stamps since the late 40's that have no
real value as collectables.

2 books were 10 cents each; $2.00 in postage stamps that
I will use for postage. Sounds like a deal to me ;D

all have a good un.......

Absolutely True Sherm,as long as they're not used the P.O. still has to honor them right? As long as it meet's today's standard.Nice find's Sherm, gotta go and leaf through some old book's I got.HH

I will second that find. Keep looking and keep diggin. Burdie

Nice score Sherm! Always check old books - I once found a $5 silver certificate in an old hockey book I picked up for like 10 cents at a yard sale. You never know is the truth!

CZ,

don't go to estate sales by estate sales companies.
They will often pull any cream off the top, plus they
have their regular contacts for certain items.

This one was advertised in a local paper by the
family. Talking to them, at the sale, little old
lady, mother, moved in with them and they sold
the house and cleaning it out.

Interesting going through someones house, their
books. Tells you a bit about the person. She
seemed to have many interest in her reading
material.

Just something to do when I have the time;
never know what you will find.

have a good un............
