Never know what you'll find

Several months ago we were digging in a field close to a small river when I found this bird band still on the leg bone of what I assumed was a duck. It was from Laurel MD witch is 175 miles from were I found it. I called and turned in the # from the band but have not heard back. I thought this was cool and just wanted to share. Thanks for looking.

I have seen those posted in the "finds" section a few times over the years.

What kind of metal is it made out of?

Its made from aluminium. It was about 6" deep
